Relationship Rupture Recovery

You know something isn’t right. You’re just not sure anymore what’s you,

what’s them, or what the heck happened between the two of you.

Maybe you don’t like who you’ve become in this relationship.

You’re more reactive than you used to be. You second-guess yourself. You hold things in until they come out sideways. You find yourself explaining, defending, overthinking…or trying one more time to get them to understand what you’re saying.

And somewhere along the way, it gets really hard to tell what’s actually happening in the relationship, what’s their stuff…and what’s yours.

Because sometimes it is their stuff.

Sometimes it’s yours.

And sometimes, what’s happening right now is bumping straight into something that’s been there a whole lot longer than this relationship.

You may not be ready to leave, you may not even want to leave, and you sure as heck don’t need someone sitting across from you deciding that for you.

But you also know you don’t want to keep doing this.

And maybe the relationship has already ended.

The breakup happened. The divorce is final or somewhere in the messy middle of becoming final, yet you’re still carrying what happened, questioning yourself, replaying it, or trying to figure out who you are now that everything has changed.

Either way, that’s where we start.

Not with fixing them, not with making you the problem, and not with deciding whether the relationship stays or goes.

We start with you.

What’s getting triggered. What you’ve been carrying. Where you’ve stopped trusting yourself. Where you may be abandoning yourself just to keep the peace, keep the relationship, or keep everything from falling apart.

And little by little, we start connecting those dots.

Because the goal isn’t to teach you how to save the relationship.

It’s to help you stop losing yourself inside of it.

And when you start finding your way back to yourself, it gets a whole lot easier to see what’s actually in front of you, trust yourself again, and decide what comes next.

And whatever comes next, you don’t have to lose yourself to get there.

What Working Together Looks Like

This is private, one-on-one coaching built around you and what you’re actually going through, not a predetermined program or a certain number of sessions you have to complete.

Sessions are 60 minutes and typically take place over Zoom. If you’re local to the Lafayette La area, meeting in person may also be an option on a case-by-case basis.

Most clients start by meeting once a week or every other week, depending on what’s going on and what feels right for you. From there, we adjust as we go.

What happens after each session?

After each session, I’ll send you a personalized follow-up based specifically on what we talked about and uncovered together.

Sometimes that’s a recap of the things I want you to remember or pay attention to. Sometimes it’s journal prompts that take what we uncovered a little deeper. Other times it may be something specific to practice, notice, or work on before we meet again.

It’s never just generic homework.

It’s built from your session, your patterns, your breakthroughs, and what I believe will help you keep moving forward between our conversations.

That way, the work doesn’t stop when our hour is over. You have something concrete to come back to during the week as you start noticing things differently, trying things differently, and connecting more of those dots.

We start with where you are and go from there.

A Little About Me

I’ve spent a lot of my life fascinated by people - why we do what we do, why certain things affect us so deeply, and why we can know better and still find ourselves reacting in ways we don’t understand.

But I didn’t learn all of this from a textbook.

I’ve loved deeply, been widowed through a traumatic loss, walked through complicated relationships, experienced some pretty beautiful chapters, and had to start over when starting over was the last thing I wanted to do. Life has broken my heart, surprised me, humbled me, blessed me in ways I never saw coming, and more than once made me figure out who I was all over again.

And somewhere along the way, I learned that even when life doesn’t turn out the way you thought it would, you can still find your way back to yourself and build something beautiful from there.

I’m a mom of three grown sons, a grandmother, a woman of faith, and someone who has had to rebuild parts of her own life more than once. I love deeply, laugh a lot, and I’m probably going to tell you the truth even when it’s not the easiest thing to hear - but I’ll be right there with you while we figure out what to do with it.

My coaching brings together that lived experience with years of coaching, leadership, and extensive trauma-informed training and certification. That matters in this work because what’s happening in a relationship today isn’t always just about today. Sometimes an old wound, experience, or protective pattern is showing up right alongside it.

Over the years, I’ve watched clients make real changes - not just have a good conversation with me for an hour. I’ve watched them find their voice again, set boundaries they never thought they could set, understand why they react the way they do, communicate differently, trust themselves again, and make decisions from a much stronger place.

But probably the most important thing I bring into a session is this...

I’m not there to judge you, diagnose the person you love, or tell you what you should do.

I’m there to listen closely enough to hear what may be underneath what you’re saying, ask the questions that help you see what you haven’t been able to see on your own, and help you separate what belongs to you from what doesn’t.

Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we cry. Sometimes you may leave thinking, Well, darn. I didn’t see that coming. :)

But we keep getting curious, connecting the dots, and finding our way back to you.
